The start date for all the classes starting on the 8th has been pushed back to the 15th because of technical issues with the computer I am using to get the material together with. This means that the classes won’t end until February 15th.
I am also working on adding more self-help and management classes. Photoshop and Publisher classes will be available by the end of the month. If there is something that would like to see covered that isn’t already here, let me know. If enough people are interested, I will try my best to implement them into our curriculum.
In this day of instant communication with the internet, IMs, forums, chats, email, and blogs, the world is cluttered with chatter. People are saying a lot and close to nothing all at the same time. The internet whas given everyone a voice, and amazing enough, people are using that newfound voice in spades. It may seem strange for me, someone who maintains multiply blogs, to being saying this, but sometimes there is solance in silence.
Instead of racking our minds to find something profound to say, I suggest silence. Of course, I’m not looking to stop all the communication, because communication is a very powerful and interesting thing. But what I am proposing is, for just a short amount of your awake time, stop, be still and be quiet. Take time to reflect on the wonders in your life instead of talking about the problems all the time. Give thanks to a higher power, and make a deeply emotional relationship with HIM. Focus on the things you want out of your life and ways you can go about obtaining them. Concentrate on your dreams and strategize on how you can make them a reality.
And, if you have to say something, make sure that it is something worth saying; something that will change lives and bring understanding to at least one person.
This is a reminder post that all online classes start next Monday, January 8th. Registration is still going on at singleparenthelp.net/classes. Register now!
Its a new year, and the perfect time to change any area in your life that you are unhappy about. Change can be something as small as a haircut or wardrobe change, or something big and life-changing like going back to school, buying a house, or starting a business. What ever you decide to do, make sure it is something that you desire passionately and execute. New year resolutions aren’t just pretty on paper, they can have lasting effects on your life, and overall happiness, if you would just follow through.
So many times we think of so many ways to redefine ourselves at the beginning of the year, but we rarely fall through. A good way to make sure that you stick with your new year resolutions is to do them with others. Surround yourself with a support group to make sure you obtain your goals this year.
SingleParentHelp.net and Mothers2Mothers is starting up small support groups to help you during this time. We will be hosting them soon, so check back to see what groups we will have and how you can sign up for them.
